CAMP SMITH--U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Raymond Shields, commander of the New York Army National Guard , U.S. Army Col. Scott Cleaveland, the New York Army National Guard construction and facilities management officer, U.S. Army Maj. Chad Clark, the facility engineer at Camp Smith Training Site, and Chief Warrant Officer 3 William Viana, Camp Smith maintenance supervisor, all with the New York Army National Guard, cut the ribbon during the opening ceremony of the Camp Smith Combined Maintenance Shop in Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., June 21, 2018. The state-of-the-art 40,830 square foot maintenance building replaces the former facility, which was built in 1949, and is designed to support approximately 1,200 vehicles assigned to Army National Guard units from the Mid-Hudson Valley down to the Bronx.
