174th Fighter Wing Begins Saying Goodbye to F-16s

An F-16C of the New York Air National Guard's 174th Fighter Wing leaps into the air Tuesday, October 14, en route to Edwards Air Force Base, California, as the unit began saying goodbye to the fighter bombers it has operated since 1988 at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base in Syracuse.
The 174th which flew combat patrols in Iraq this summer, is due to being operating the MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicle in 2010.
