Military Kids Receive Donated Bikes Through USO Build-A-Bike Program

CAMP SMITH TRAINING SITE, CORTLANDT MANOR, NY (10/21/2011)(readMedia)-- The New York National Guard Family Program will team up with the USO to distribute free bikes to the children of Hudson Valley military veterans and deploying Soldiers on Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Camp Smith Training Site. WHO: 50 children of Hudson Valley veterans and deployed and deploying service members. WHAT: The children will receive bikes built and donated by the employees of Endurance Services Ltd, a White Plains company. The bikes were donated by the company and put together by company employees and then given to the USO for distribution. WHEN: 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 WHERE: Building 500, Camp Smith Training Site, Routes 6 and 202, Cortlandt Manor Coverage Opportunities: Reporters will be able to speak to USO officials about the program, as well as parents of the children. Visual opportunities include imagery of the children receiving their bikes.
