Air Force Secretary Visits 109th in Antarctica

McMurdo Station, Antarctica--Secretary of the Air Force, Deborah Lee James, greets 109th Airlift Wing members Airman 1st Class Wyatt Peters and Lt. Col. Kurt Bedore in Antarctica on 25 January, 2015. Both Airmen were supporting transportation operations in Antarctica as part of Operation Deep Freeze. The first of seven deployed LC-130s returned to Stratton Air National Guard base early on Tuesdaymorning, Feb. 24 and Airmen and plans will be arriving back in New York all week.
