New York Air Guard Trains For Medical Emergencies

STEWART AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE --U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Milyn Kane a medical technician with the 139th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, of the New York Air National Guard's 10-9th Airlift Wing, secures a simulated patient for airlift in the cargo bay of a 105th Airlift Wing C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft during the National Disaster Medical System exercise Golden Eagle III at Stewart Air National Guard Base, N.Y. June 1, 2013 . The NDMS tests the ability of local medical providers to participate in the movement of patients from areas affected by a disaster to other locations for medical treatment.
