Guard Soldiers Assist in WTC Steel Transfer

NEW YORK - Soldiers from the New York Army National Guard’s 369th Sustainment Brigade secure a piece of World Trade Center steel in the bed of a military vehicle here at the Port Authority warehouse in Brooklyn July 26.
The Soldiers ( from left) Staff Sgt. Nicholas Pelliccio from the brigade headquarters company, Spec. Sebastian Rothwyn from the 719th Transportation Company, Staff Sgt. Anthony Marshall of the 369th Early Entry Element, Capt. J.C. Bravo of the brigade headquarters company and Spc. Diego Castro of the Early Entry Element, helped transport the WTC artifact for shipment via FedEx to Athens Ga.
The artifact, a 923-pound piece of steel some six and a half feet long, is destined for display at the Oconee Veterans Park near Athens, Ga. The Georgia Army National Guard provided the U.S. Colors for the honors at the artifact pickup.
