ROCHESTER -- Sergeant First Class John Bobeck, Detachment 1, Company B, 126th Aviation talks to local media about his and the 126th’s experiences when they were sent to Louisiana to respond to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina on the 5th anniversary date of the catastrophic event.
Bobeck is one of three remaining members of the 126th which also includes Chief Warrant Officer Jim Hall from the 169th Aviation and Staff Sgt. Daniel Krebs from the 126th.
"We saw the devastation first hand and it was like a giant hand had swept everything away." Hall said.
