LATHAM -- Six aviation Soldiers and two 42nd Infantry Division Soldiers competed for top honors to be selected as the 2010 Soldier of the Year, the Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) of the Year and the Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) Soldier of the Year at the brigade level, Feb. 20 at the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigades headquarters in Latham. This years selectees were Spc. David Murray, Soldier of the Year, Sgt. Lance Allen, NCO of the Year and Staff Sgt. Leanne Delaney, AGR Soldier of the Year.
Following the brigade level of competition, the selected Soldiers will advance and compete at the New York State level at Camp Smith next month.
