New York National Guard Buries Civil War Soldier

SARATOGA NATIONAL CEMETERY, Schuylerville -- New York National Guard State Chaplain (Col.) Eric Olsen says a few last words over a coffin containing the remains of an unknown New York Soldier who was buried 147 years to the day after he died at the Battle of Antietam on Sept. 17, 1862.
The Soldiers remains were discovered by a hiker in 2008 and turned over to the New York State Division of Military of Naval Affairs by the National Park Service, and returned to New York to be buried.
